  • The word mercy is the same word translated "compassion" and "love." Many times the translators of the New Testament used the word "charity." The were trying to convey the giving aspect of love.
It is not possessive and self; it is a giver!

    JESUS IS COMING SOON!

  • Trust God to Do it His Way

As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.(Isaiah 55:9, NIV)

Every person has things they’re believing for, situations they want to see changed, and dreams God has placed in their hearts. But sometimes, we try to figure out how it’s all going to happen. If we’re not careful, we’ll try to take control and start to tell God how to do it, when to do it, and where to do it! Today’s scripture tells us that God’s ways are not our ways. They are so much higher and better.

If things don’t happen on your timetable, instead of getting discouraged, why don’t you believe that God has something better in store? Just because it doesn’t happen your way doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen. Remember, God has a plan. He’s got it all figured out. Don’t limit Him by trying to get it done your way. Instead, simply say, “God, I’m trusting You. I know You have my best interest at heart. And even if I don’t get my way, I’m going to stay open and believe that You’re still directing my steps.”

Father, I choose to trust in You. I cast my cares on You. I give You my plans, dreams and desires for the future. Thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. I receive Your peace as I wait patiently to see Your plan unfold in Jesus' name. Amen.

  • Anger Management Strategies for Couples

    1. Accept Anger as Normal: Recognize that feeling angry is a normal part of being human.

    2. Understand Each Other’s Temperaments: Know whether you or your spouse tends to react quickly or slowly to anger, which can help tailor your responses more effectively.

    3. Avoid Hurtful Language: Make a conscious decision to refrain from using curse words or insults, even when provoked. Harsh words can cause lasting damage to your relationship.

    4. Stay Quiet or Walk Away Temporarily: When anger rises, sometimes the best response is silence or a physical break from the situation to prevent regrettable words.

    5. Maintain Communication: Even if you need space, ensure that you’re still reachable to keep communication lines open.

    6. Reject Revenge: Avoid retaliating when hurt. Escalating the situation only leads to more pain.

    7. Resolve Issues Promptly: Address conflicts directly and honestly, no matter how difficult the conversation may be.

    8. Use the Power of Touch: Small gestures like a hug or a gentle touch can reduce tension and draw your partner closer in times of strife.

    9. Pray for Calm: Whether it's personal prayer or praying together, seeking spiritual support can help soothe anger.

    10. Incorporate Worship Music: Play soothing worship music to create a peaceful environment, which can calm an angry spirit.

    11. Keep Perspective: In moments of anger, remember the journey you’ve shared and the relationship you’ve built together. Avoid making permanent decisions based on temporary feelings.

    12. Think Before Acting: Double-check any decisions made in anger as they are often regretted later. Ideally, wait until you’re calm before making important choices.

    13. Show Affection: Perform acts of kindness and affection towards your spouse during tough times to reinforce your bond.

    14. Affirm Your Love: Saying “I love you” during an argument can provide needed reassurance and remind both of you of your commitment.

    15. Embrace Forgiveness: Be quick to forgive and seek forgiveness. A forgiving attitude facilitates healing and maintains the health of your relationship.

    16. Discourage Physical Reactions: Avoid throwing things or physical altercations. Physical aggression can cause irreparable damage to your partnership.

    17. Share the Same Bed: Resolve to sleep in the same bed, regardless of disagreements. Consistent physical separation can lead to emotional distance.

By implementing these strategies, couples can manage anger effectively, ensuring that it does not undermine the love and respect foundational to their relationship.

  • Beyond Physical Intimacy: The Evolution of Love in Marriage

He awoke in the stillness of the night, his gaze settling on his peacefully sleeping wife beside him. The night before, they had chosen not to make love, despite the intimacy of their shared nakedness. This absence of physical intimacy was not a concern—it was a testament to how their relationship had maturely evolved.

In their marriage, they've reached a profound level of connection where physical intimacy is not a nightly necessity. Their love has deepened beyond the physical, finding joy and satisfaction in the simple closeness of their beings. Some nights are filled with passionate lovemaking, a celebration of their physical connection. Yet on others, they find contentment in conversation, laughter, music, and shared silence.

As he adjusted the duvet to cover her shoulder, he reflected on the destructive pursuits of fleeting pleasures that ruin many relationships. The world is abundant in temptation, but he has grown beyond the chase, valuing the irreplaceable depth of fidelity and the unique bond he shares with his wife.

Sex, he mused, is often overemphasized to the detriment of genuine love and intimacy. True maturity in a relationship manifests when a couple sees and appreciates the deeper value of their union—beyond the physical.

Gazing at his wife, he saw more than a partner; he saw a confidant, a friend, and the love of his life. As he kissed her forehead and whispered "I love you," she responded in kind, nestling closer within his embrace. Together, they've learned that while sex is part of their intimacy, it does not define it. Their love is a tranquil, steadfast bond, celebrated both in moments of passion and in peaceful togetherness.

In love, there is so much more beyond the act of sex—it's about continuous faithfulness, shared experiences, and the quiet, enduring joy of companionship.

  • Faith that is Alive

    ...faith without works is dead.
    (James 2:20, NKJV)

Did you know that faith can be alive or dead? Dead faith doesn’t do anything. There are a lot of people who love God, but they aren’t overcoming obstacles or accomplishing their God-given dreams simply because they are not putting any action behind their faith. Their faith is simply dead.

What can you do today to keep your faith alive? It doesn’t have to be something big. By simply obeying God’s Word and doing your best, you are keeping your faith alive. When you go to work every day and give it 100%, you are demonstrating your faith. Sometimes just putting a smile on your face when you feel discouraged is putting action behind your faith. Taking time to go to church—that’s faith that is alive. That’s faith that activates God’s power. That’s faith that opens the door for God to move on your behalf! With faith that is alive, you’ll rise up higher. You’ll overcome obstacles, and you’ll move forward into the blessing and victory God has in store for you!

Father, thank You for Your Word which is life to my soul. Show me ways to put my faith into action. Guide my steps and keep me close to You so that everything I do brings honor to You in Jesus name. Amen.

  • HOW TO SURVIVE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL TIME IN NIGERIA.

1.Don't take it personally, it's a general problem affecting everybody. Don't go and be displaying your unclothedness in the bank, those who did didn't get shishi.

    2. Suspend all your projects for now until things normalize. Don't kill yourself because you have set a target for yourself.

    3. The most important thing now is feeding and health. It's not bad if you touch your savings at this time to survive.

    4. Reduce going about to places that are not very important.

    5. Stop the unnecessary show of affluence and you don't have to impress anyone now. If you cannot maintain your standard please reduce it for now. If you don't eat meat this time you won't die.

    6. Avoid bad and shocking news if you can, especially if you already have high blood pressure. Instead listen to good music, watch comedies and laugh out stress.

    7. This is not the time to forsake God or get discouraged in serving God. In fact this is the time to *serve God more*

    8. Always know that this time will still come and pass like *CORONA VIRUS* etc. Don't kill yourself because your tomorrow is far better than your today.

We will conquer this one too by the special grace of God, Amen

ALWAYS KNOW THAT TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST BUT TOUGH PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND I DO.
